Junior Umpire Clinics are for prospective umpires 18 years old or younger and in high school who want to umpire youth games (not high school games). These clinics include 6 hours of classroom instruction in 3 class sessions.  We will train you on the basics of lacrosse umpiring through classroom and on-the-field training. Based on your age and your field rating you will be able to umpire girls youth lacrosse games on Sundays in April, May and June and possibly at the various league Jamborees in June.

Requirements for new officials:

1) Join EMWLUA (included in your clinic fee )

2) Join US Lacrosse (designate "official")

3) Attend ALL clinic sessions and field opportunities of clinic NO EXCEPTIONS.   You MAY NOT make up a clinic session at a different location.

4) Complete the on line Official's Clinic available at USlacrosse.org.   It is a free course but you must go through the motions of purchasing it.   Please forward proof of completion to your clinician.

5) Pass both the High School and Youth online annual exams available at USlacrosse.org.   A score of 85% or above is required.

Space in each class is limited.  Walk-in registration is NOT allowed.

When you register: If you are taking this class for the first time, choose the "New youth" option. If you took this class before, choose the "Returning youth"  option. If you have paid your EMWLUA dues for the upcoming season DO NOT PAY THE CLINIC FEE, but contact development@emwlua.org and request a fee waiver.

EMWLUA reserves the right to combine clinics or change locations based on enrollment levels.  Registered students will receive detailed location and instructor contact information 10 days before the clinic starts.

Clinicians: David Peters and Judy Peters
